Questions
How does the free trial work?
You get 2 full games free with complete access to all features. A credit card is required at signup but you won't be charged until game 3. Cancel before then and you owe nothing.
What's the difference between Team and League?
Team is for a single team with a single operator. It covers everything you need for game-day presentation: sounds, TTS announcements, score tracking, and scoresheets. League adds standings management across multiple teams, score entry for both teams, a season results history, and a league coordinator admin panel. If you run games between opposing teams and track standings, you want League.
How much does it cost per player?
At the League tier with 6 teams and roughly 60-72 players, you're looking at about $7-8 per player for the season. The bigger your league, the lower the per-player cost. Most leagues already spend more than that on scoresheets and spreadsheet workarounds.
Does it work without Wi-Fi at the rink?
Yes. CrowdSurge is offline-first by design. All audio is cached to the device before the game starts. Once you go live, no network connection is needed. Everything runs locally on the tablet.
What device do I need?
Any modern iPad or Android tablet works. CrowdSurge is a PWA (progressive web app), so you install it from the browser directly, no app store required. It's optimized for landscape mode on a 10-11 inch screen.
Can one person really run this during a live game?
That's the entire design goal. Every control is reachable with one hand. Setup takes under 10 minutes before puck drop. The operator taps buttons, not menus.
What is Tournament Mode?
Tournament Mode is an add-on for single-day or multi-day tournaments where you're running multiple games back to back with different teams. Add it for $99 with an active League plan, or $499 as a standalone.
My club has 8 teams. Which tier do I need?
Contact us. The League tier covers multi-team organizations with standings. For larger clubs or associations, we'll find the right fit. Use the contact link below or email hello@crowdsurge.io.
Can I run it at a school or a rink facility?
Yes, but school and facility accounts aren't self-serve yet. Reach out via the contact link below and we'll get you set up. Both are on the roadmap as published tiers.
