CrowdSurge

The game-day operations platform for amateur hockey.

CrowdSurge is built for two kinds of people: the volunteer running game-day presentation for one team, and the coordinator running an entire league. Both get a purpose-built platform that works offline, runs from a single tablet, and handles everything from the opening horn to the final scoresheet.

The game-day story.

A goal is scored.

The button is tapped. The horn fires instantly — no delay, no fumbling, no silence. A goal song follows automatically, cued to the right moment. Over the PA, a name is announced. The scorer. The assists. The crowd responds.

Between whistles, the music runs itself. Tracks shuffle from the preloaded library, no repeats until the list cycles. A stoppage happens. The music fades. Play resumes. The music comes back.

At the end of the game, a complete scoresheet exists. Goals, assists, penalties, timestamps. The coach didn't write a thing.

That is The Big Show. On Tap.

The league operations story.

Five divisions. Twenty games a week.

Scores are collected through a group chat. A spreadsheet is updated by hand, usually late, usually with at least one error. Parents text asking what the standings are. The board needs updated results for the next meeting. Nobody fully trusts the numbers.

With CrowdSurge, the game is run from a tablet at the scorer's table. When the final horn sounds, the score is already recorded. Standings update automatically across every division. A live score link was shared before puck drop — parents followed the game from the stands or from home without sending a single text.

The coordinator is already in the car.

What's included.

Game-Day Presentation

Goal workflow — The horn fires on tap. Goal song follows automatically. Scorer and assist names are announced via TTS. The event is logged with a timestamp. One tap triggers the full sequence.

Music system — Tracks play from a preloaded library with no-repeat shuffle logic. Music ducks automatically when effects fire. Fade-out on a whistle, resume on play. The playlist manages itself.

Game state triggers — Dedicated one-tap triggers for each game moment: pregame, stoppage, intermission, and post-game. The operator fires the right trigger for the moment. The platform handles the audio sequence from there.

Penalty workflow — Penalty is logged on tap: team, player, infraction, duration. Announcement queued automatically. Tracked through the game, included in the final scoresheet.

TTS player announcements — Goal scorers, assists, and penalty calls are announced using ElevenLabs natural-language voice. Import a roster and every announcement uses real player names.

Sound effects library — Crowd hype, horns, stingers, and custom SFX on large touch-optimized buttons. Instant playback. Category-coded controls.

Armed/Safe board mode — A physical-style safety toggle prevents accidental triggers during live play. Nothing fires until the board is armed.

Shareable live game link — A public link is generated before the game. Parents and fans follow the live score from any device, no app required.

Scoresheet export — Every goal, penalty, and game event is logged automatically with timestamps. Export a complete, shareable scoresheet when the game ends.

Offline operation — All audio is cached to the device before the game starts. Once live, no network connection is needed. Everything runs locally.

League Operations

Standings management — Standings update automatically from game results across all divisions. No manual entry, no spreadsheets, no reconciliation.

Score entry for both teams — Scores for both teams are recorded from the live console. Home and visiting team results are captured in the same workflow.

Season results history — Every game result is stored with full event detail. The season record is always accurate and always available.

League coordinator admin panel — A dedicated dashboard for managing divisions, teams, and seasons. The coordinator has a single place to run the league without touching the game console.

Player season statistics — Goals, assists, points, and penalty minutes tracked per player across the full season, generated automatically from game data. No stat sheets, no manual entry. The leaderboard exists the moment the last game is recorded.

Multiple teams under one organization — All teams in the league are managed under one account. Audio libraries, rosters, and settings are scoped to the org.

Built for rink conditions.

CrowdSurge is a Progressive Web App. There is no app store download. Add it to the home screen on any iPad or Android tablet and it presents as a purpose-built device. Every control is sized for fast finger taps in a dimly lit rink. The layout is designed for landscape orientation and one-handed operation while watching the game.

Setup takes under ten minutes before puck drop. The operator taps buttons. The platform handles everything else.
